Angadi Theru; will make “Slumdog millionaire” run for its money.

The only reason “Slumdog” gain global attention because it was produce by a Hollywood director.

Just recently I watch a movie about poverty that made me realise how lucky I am.

I recommend every one especially, every Singapore tamlian to watch this movie.

Maybe just maybe I hope after by watching this film you people don’t look down on those whom come over to Singapore to work as a low wage skilled worker.

Tamil

Tamil; oldest language known to mankind, the oldest spoken language today and sadly most of us don’t even know it.

Did you know?

Tamil literature has existed for over two thousand years. The earliest epigraphic records found date from around the third century BCE. The earliest period of Tamil literature, Sangam literature, is dated from the 300 BCE and 300 CE. Inscriptions in

Tamil Language from 1st century BCE and 2nd century CE have been discovered in Egypt and Thailand.

The two earliest manuscripts from India, to be acknowledged and registered by UNESCO Memory of the World register in 1997 & 2005 were in Tamil.

More than 55% of the epigraphically inscriptions about 55,000 found by the Archaeological Survey of India are in the Tamil language.

According to a 2001 survey, there were 1,863 newspapers published in Tamil, of which 353 were dailies.

Yet, today a lot pretend not to knw their own Language

Poor Paul; the Octopus

Born in England, raised in Germany has predicted 11 out of 12 matches accurately.

Now a Jinx;

The Germans want him dead! The Spaniard wants him alive.

All he did was, predicting that Germany would lose against Spain.

Poor thing, He is sooo cute. All he did was; what we needed to know.

Maybe he could also predict if the world is coming to an end.

We need Paul The Octopus, Alive.

Anyways, I would like to protest and fight for the life of Paul.

PLEASE DON’T EAT HIM!!!! Germans

Just look at him how cute and adorable he is.

Singaporean VS Foreign Worker

Why Singaporean have such third world mentality?

First it was camera in the dormitory toilet now they can’t chill out on their day off in parks and void decks. What do you people actually want? Where do you want them to go? You need them; because there are not any skilled workers do the dirty job. But at the same time they should not be seen in the public.

An average worker, lives together with at least 20 people in a 2 room apartment or dormitory with no space and privacy. They work, 12 hours a day and given 1 day off. That is the only day they meet their mates from their home town to talk and to share grieves. They did not choose this life; they have no choice to be here supporting their families back home.

Why can’t an average Singaporean have the decency to even look at them as fellow human being whom we share the world together?

Yes, they may be of different ethnic group but I believe they have every right to be here doing anything they want during their free time to relax.

Don’t forget that they are paying levy/permit to work in this country, it’s not cheap or given to them free. Sad but true, even low wage workers like them has to pay levy/permit to work here just like the high level executives.

You people are SICK in the brain.

Global Warming; how you may be able to Help

I know it’s hard for everyone but a small way can go a long way. A few simple things that you may consider.

1. Switch off the lights if not in the room
2. Use fan instead of air-condition
3. Don’t waste water
4. You may choose to take public transport instead of your car. (I know it’s hard but on some days at least)

From my part; I try to be a vegetarian on week days.

Vasantham Central

Hook to Central

They have been giving us some really good programme. I’m a very hard person to please when it comes to television programmes. I am just glued to most of the television shows especially the late night drama.

I’m really proud of the Singapore Tamilian/Indian show casing their talent.

It’s nice to see young local Tamilian/Indian in Singapore participating and keeping their culture alive.

Keep up the good work and looking forward to see more locally produced programmes.

World Cup 2010

First time in my life, I lost interest in watching football. Not sure, if it’s because of the Venezuelan horns or the best team perform their worst game ever. (Maybe Both)

My bet is for Argentina, but then again it could be Spain.

We have to wait and watch.

Sadly while typing this post; Germany Vs Argentina 4 – 0

This is bad………

I had my bet on Argentina….

Now it’s getting even more exciting; guess we have to watch and pray

Disappointment or Worth the Wait; Ravanan

It’s either you hate Ravanan or you Love it, I heard mix reviews.

Aishwarya Rai’s best performance; She prove to the world that she is not only the most beautiful women in the World and also the most talented Women. That is why she is my all time favorite actress. Most importantly; these days it’s hard to hear a Tamilian conversing in their own mother tongue that includes most Tamil artist but as a Telugu native she specks Tamil so fluently. (Beautiful, smart and bilingual)

Vikram, no doubt did an awesome job. Wish, Priya Mani had more screen time.

Sadly, this role is not meant for Abhishek. He is a good actor but not a great one, Vikram on the other hand was the right person for this role. That’s why the movie had better reviews in Tamil.

Overall, I think the movie was great and songs were amazing by A R Rahman.

Adopt a Child; Save a Child today from Poverty

I wish i could do something and help these kids one day.

Russel tells the truth (Video)

Single; By Choice or No Choice

When everyone around you is either married or happily attached, does that make you feel like you need someone in your life too.

Or The constant pressure from society that you should be married by now?

When I mean society I mean my family.

Do I enjoy being single, “hell yeah, I can do and go where ever and whatever I want to do and go”

Have I ever felt lonely?

I’m not denying, at times I do but I’m use to it. Honestly I’m too use to it that I don’t think I can share my life with anyone else. I guess I became a little self-centered that everything should be about me.

Right now, I just have to many things that needs my attention like my career, weight issue, learn a new language and how am I going to support my family when it’s time for them to retire soon.

29 and having too many responsibility and growing up to do, maybe it’s a small sacrifice I can do for my family who have spoilt me and by taking a little time off from meeting my soul mate means nothing at all.

Now, I just don’t have the time to search, but if there is someone out there for me I’m sure they would cross my path.

Why do couples fight?

1. They love each other too much
2. The opposite attracts
3. People have their own opinions
4. It’s obvious they have had sex “otherwise the guy would be really
understanding and gives into everything till he gets into her pants”
5. Possessiveness

Maybe it’s just love. Some people just show their passion differently and that’s what you like about them. If you feel he/she is not the one for you and that you are wasting your time with them just call it off. There are plenty of Single people ready to mingle. But one advice makes sure you take your time to find the "one". Don’t just be with someone because you just need to.
P/S: Don’t talk about your EX.

Top Ten Most Beautiful Indian Women

My colleague Tu Tu asked me a Question: Who is the most beautiful Indian Actress right now, I just had too many people in my mind. So I come up with my own list of beautiful women.

10. Priya Mani
9. Nayanthara
8. Shriya Saran
7. Kangana
6. Sada
5. Anushka
4. Priyanka
3. Deepika
2. Asin
1. Aishwarya Rai

Australians Racist or Indians are?

Australians Racist action, was it prejudice or Karma; Indians being brutally murdered in Australia was the head line news of last year. The numbers of victims were countless, but were they asking for it. I don’t really care because no Tamilians were hurt.

I’m not racist but I am of an Indian origin too but the way it works in our community we are divided into groups; by caste, religion, colour and status.

Indians; are the most racist people or the only race in the world who is racially prejudice towards their own people and people of their own origins.

And that is why I chose to be with people of my own ethnic group too.

I guess i have the right to be bias too right.

So why Indians are sensitive when people from other ethnic group are racist against you when you are racist to people from your own origin.

Maybe its Karma....

Sarong Party Girls (SPG)

Embarrassment or a Joke!

Old, Ugly, rejects, geeks and losers who are not able to get a life partner or GF “come-on down to Singapore” a land of girls whom are hard up for anything white.
Friday night at Attica;

A popular night spot for Caucasian men in Singapore, to pick up Asian women whom are there for their attention!

Seriously, what’s wrong with these women? Why put them so low and hoping to meet a white guy.

Some Singapore gals just have no brain.

If only it was the opposite way!

White/American Bastards

Heartless bastards Vs Powerless Men

Mother Fuckers; You don’t even have the respect for someone’s religion.

Whatever their crime was they need their right as humans just like you and I. You treating them this way, you are just provoking the innocents to join the war.

"White Only" Jobs in China

Read an article on Sunday times, on white only Jobs in China. Singapore print has some guts to actually comment on these.

I think it's a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

The last 3 years, getting a Job is Singapore was tough for any locals. Most of the low wages Jobs were taken by the PRC and the management positions by the Whites.

Making all Singaporeans stuck in the mid level jobs. So many times I ask myself, why did I even go to college to get a degree?

Higher salary package, Better benefits, transport allowance and a condo to stay and working 8.30 to 6.00 Mondays to Fridays and have all the time to play with their
free time and extra cash.

While the locals here, have to settle for a job that least allow them pay their bills and to get through the month.

How many of you have less than 6 hr of Sleep a day? How many of you spend 12 hrs a day in your office, and work even on Sat? How many here has 2 jobs? Is this the future of Singapore?

This is not going to stop me or put be down; I am going to work twice as hard to get there and to prove to these people that I would be an asset to them one day and not wait for opportunity to knock my door.

Suicide; is not an answer.

Whatever might be the reason; it’s not worth to end your own life.

Cases

1. Love

If you have a love failure and before you even think of doing anything foolish to prove your point just take a sec. to think that after you have gone your ex partner will still move on with his/her life.

The only way to get back with them, live and show them what they have lost.

2. Financial/Debt

Seek help from family and friends. Talk to someone there is also a way out.

3. Low self-esteem

Life is hard, life is precious. Everyone is different that quality would make you unique and beautiful.

Anyone needs a shoulder for comfort, or just need a person to talk. You may write to me @ xander.jey@gmail.com; i will get in touch with u ASAP

Re-birth and life after death, Myth?

Are we afraid to die? Or Are we in denial by creating theories to accept death.

Everyone has that fear, but we all will have to expire one day.

I am sure the real fear is not existing and to be forgotten.

I have a mix feeling towards, re-rebirth and according to “Brian Weiss” he believes not only in re-incarnation but also in soul mate. He mentioned in one of his book that we will meet our soul mate through any form in a lifetime.

There could be millions of theories build to make us consider in life after death or re-birth.

Regardless, I would like to take this opportunity to say; “Value your life in this life-time, there is so much to see, learn and to give”.

A place for ppl to vent; or just complain?

Stomp; It's is a good place to find out the ugly side of Singaporeans.

I do give, Two thumbs up to the site which allows everyone to share their opinions through forums, comments and post.

Although Topics being posted by the public, are full of crap.

This is NEWS

Singaporean's Being Petty

Why cant a father feed his hungry child?

Why cant couples show their love in the public?

Why cant ppl make- up in public?

If he wants to stand, just let him be.

Why cant a maid have boyfriend or have a good long conversation on their mobile?

I’m not denying but I do visit the site every now and then to see how "lame" one can get.

1 question, "shall we use our Tax $$ to hire police for petty complains".

Seriously, Get a life ppl....

Warm It Up (Video)

Hahahaha,

Two countries, shares one flag...

India should be divided into two, just like Korea.

There should be South and North India

Seems like no one likes to associate with each other in any way mainly by color or religion.

Thursday, April 1, 2010

East Indians; Are they confused or in denial?

1. To be not associated under the dark skin category, they invented a new color, "wheatish".

2. Most Singapore Indian claim that they can’t speak their own language.

*at least converse in proper English!

*Research shows that, one should be well verse in one language or two for ethnic

*Unless you are stupid or just need to go for speech therapy.

3. Thinking it’s cool to be ard with the majority ethnic grp and to make fun of your own to be accepted.

4. Being racist to your own ppl, by color, religion or cast.

5. Using fairness cream on your face when your ass is brown .

6. Marrying/dating another ethnic person not because you actually love them but feel more accepted by Society.

*Off topic; just popped in my mind: have u ever notice an Indian guy with an Asian gal, if you fail to notice them he make sure you do..hehehe

"If you are seriously ashamed of who you are and of your identity, pls marry someone from another ethnic grp and make sure your children does the same so that your race would end with you"

B'day

Every 5th April, ten min before midnight, I would be asked to go into my room because; I would be sleepy. Then exactly 12am, I hear my family screaming out loud "surprise, happy birthday". OMG I totally am, hehehe...but seriously I look forward for it every year.

I guess the real surprise would be if one year they decided not to do it because I whine and bitch about how fake it is. (It’s my way of being humble by saying “you shouldn’t have”)

Then I go back to my room stand in front of the mirror with a cake, and place my birth certificate and cry myself a river "why was I born"...

Well, whatever it is. It’s always nice when your loved one remembers the day and makes it special for you. And by now you guys know that presents make happy :)

You may get me

1. Tennis racquet
2. Cologne
3. Gift cards
4. A pair of hand cuff (hmmm don’t ask)
5. $$$ Cash would be great

You should consult me for these options

1. Shoes
2. Cloths
3. Belt
4. Bags
5. Wallet/key pouch

I love surprises too.. hehe

Camera in foreign worker domitory

It is common for foreign worker dormitory operators to install closed-circuit television cameras at the entrances to their buildings and in other common areas, to monitor any shenanigans involving the residents.

But one operator in Jurong West has gone a step further and installed two cameras on the ceiling of the common toilet, which houses shower and toilet stalls, urinals, and a row of wash basins.

Lockson Hydraulics, which runs the dormitory and is also a scaffolding company, said the cameras – part of a network of 24 electronic eyes on the premises – were put up to deter water wastage after its water bills soared and repeated calls to its residents to save water went unheeded.

But the presence of the cameras has raised the ire of some workers and welfare groups, who complain that the invasion of workers' privacy has gone too far.

A 37-year-old Indian national, who recently moved out of the dormitory to stay elsewhere, said: "We cannot accept this. It's the toilet, how can you put cameras? We're all men living together, but this is ridiculous."

A spokesman for Lockson, a 35-year-old company, whose director is Mr Kang Yee Yin, 38, said the cameras were installed a few months ago, after which the monthly water bill dropped by about 20 per cent, although he did not give exact figures.

MP Halimah Yacob, who often speaks up on foreign worker issues, said: "Cameras there are an invasion of privacy. It doesn't matter where they are pointing, they shouldn't be there in the first place."

*Article from straits times

"This is very wrong morally; it’s an affront to human dignity."

Seriously SGporeans are sick mentally, they either mistreat their maids or any other low wage foreign worker.

Death Sentences

No one has the right to take someone’s life, period.

Sentencing one to death for drug trafficking is not acceptable. SGpore may be the only developed country that practices sentence by hanging to death.

We are not living in B.C but in the 21st Century, certainly not barbarians are we.

People make mistake in life, and everybody deserve a second chance. We are all born on this earth once and there is no life after death or reincarnation

It’s easy to take someone’s life but it’s not easy to console those who have lost them.

In my opinion the worst punishment one could ever have, life imprisonment not by death when they don’t get a chance to regret.

Why do we even have rehabilitation centre when we don’t give them a chance to cure.

Did you know the sentence for drug trafficking in Indonesia is death by firing squad?

I hope at least in the next century life has more value than just writing it off with a pen.

Mentally Challenged

It could be someone close to you.

Are Singaporeans so ill-bred, that they would make fun of mentally challenged.

I was shocked to hear that they had a Bollywood themed party inspired by “Bollywood train Dancer”.

What's next; a television show on, "crazy chinese uncle who sings and dance from Aljunied to City hall station".

I truly feel sorry for these people and would like to apologize on behalf of these illiterate people.
