Angadi Theru; will make “Slumdog millionaire” run for its money.

The only reason “Slumdog” gain global attention because it was produce by a Hollywood director.

Just recently I watch a movie about poverty that made me realise how lucky I am.

I recommend every one especially, every Singapore tamlian to watch this movie.

Maybe just maybe I hope after by watching this film you people don’t look down on those whom come over to Singapore to work as a low wage skilled worker.

Tamil

Tamil; oldest language known to mankind, the oldest spoken language today and sadly most of us don’t even know it.

Did you know?

Tamil literature has existed for over two thousand years. The earliest epigraphic records found date from around the third century BCE. The earliest period of Tamil literature, Sangam literature, is dated from the 300 BCE and 300 CE. Inscriptions in

Tamil Language from 1st century BCE and 2nd century CE have been discovered in Egypt and Thailand.

The two earliest manuscripts from India, to be acknowledged and registered by UNESCO Memory of the World register in 1997 & 2005 were in Tamil.

More than 55% of the epigraphically inscriptions about 55,000 found by the Archaeological Survey of India are in the Tamil language.

According to a 2001 survey, there were 1,863 newspapers published in Tamil, of which 353 were dailies.

Yet, today a lot pretend not to knw their own Language

Poor Paul; the Octopus

Born in England, raised in Germany has predicted 11 out of 12 matches accurately.

Now a Jinx;

The Germans want him dead! The Spaniard wants him alive.

All he did was, predicting that Germany would lose against Spain.

Poor thing, He is sooo cute. All he did was; what we needed to know.

Maybe he could also predict if the world is coming to an end.

We need Paul The Octopus, Alive.

Anyways, I would like to protest and fight for the life of Paul.

PLEASE DON’T EAT HIM!!!! Germans

Just look at him how cute and adorable he is.

Singaporean VS Foreign Worker

Why Singaporean have such third world mentality?

First it was camera in the dormitory toilet now they can’t chill out on their day off in parks and void decks. What do you people actually want? Where do you want them to go? You need them; because there are not any skilled workers do the dirty job. But at the same time they should not be seen in the public.

An average worker, lives together with at least 20 people in a 2 room apartment or dormitory with no space and privacy. They work, 12 hours a day and given 1 day off. That is the only day they meet their mates from their home town to talk and to share grieves. They did not choose this life; they have no choice to be here supporting their families back home.

Why can’t an average Singaporean have the decency to even look at them as fellow human being whom we share the world together?

Yes, they may be of different ethnic group but I believe they have every right to be here doing anything they want during their free time to relax.

Don’t forget that they are paying levy/permit to work in this country, it’s not cheap or given to them free. Sad but true, even low wage workers like them has to pay levy/permit to work here just like the high level executives.

You people are SICK in the brain.

Global Warming; how you may be able to Help

I know it’s hard for everyone but a small way can go a long way. A few simple things that you may consider.

1. Switch off the lights if not in the room
2. Use fan instead of air-condition
3. Don’t waste water
4. You may choose to take public transport instead of your car. (I know it’s hard but on some days at least)

From my part; I try to be a vegetarian on week days.

Vasantham Central

Hook to Central

They have been giving us some really good programme. I’m a very hard person to please when it comes to television programmes. I am just glued to most of the television shows especially the late night drama.

I’m really proud of the Singapore Tamilian/Indian show casing their talent.

It’s nice to see young local Tamilian/Indian in Singapore participating and keeping their culture alive.

Keep up the good work and looking forward to see more locally produced programmes.

World Cup 2010

First time in my life, I lost interest in watching football. Not sure, if it’s because of the Venezuelan horns or the best team perform their worst game ever. (Maybe Both)

My bet is for Argentina, but then again it could be Spain.

We have to wait and watch.

Sadly while typing this post; Germany Vs Argentina 4 – 0

This is bad………

I had my bet on Argentina….

Now it’s getting even more exciting; guess we have to watch and pray

Disappointment or Worth the Wait; Ravanan

It’s either you hate Ravanan or you Love it, I heard mix reviews.

Aishwarya Rai’s best performance; She prove to the world that she is not only the most beautiful women in the World and also the most talented Women. That is why she is my all time favorite actress. Most importantly; these days it’s hard to hear a Tamilian conversing in their own mother tongue that includes most Tamil artist but as a Telugu native she specks Tamil so fluently. (Beautiful, smart and bilingual)

Vikram, no doubt did an awesome job. Wish, Priya Mani had more screen time.

Sadly, this role is not meant for Abhishek. He is a good actor but not a great one, Vikram on the other hand was the right person for this role. That’s why the movie had better reviews in Tamil.

Overall, I think the movie was great and songs were amazing by A R Rahman.
